Spring Break Camp Descriptions
Theatre IA & IB (5-7 years) and Theatre II (8-12 years)
Theatre campers will be transported to magical kingdoms as they develop a story and create a script with a few magic words!  These campers will learn theatre basics through hands-on games and activities in a fun environment of imagination.  Lots of laughs and creativity are the ticket for campers to prepare for an exciting Friday performance for family and friends.

Dance I (5-7 years) and Dance II (8-12 years)
Dance campers will move and groove their way to kingdoms of rhythm and music.  Dancers will play fun movement games, learn combos, and create original dance performances!  All dancers will get to take their show on stage when they give their performance on Friday.

Magic II (8-12 years)
Wow and dazzle all of your friends by learning tricks from the professionals!  Practice sneaky sleight of hand, captivating card tricks, mystical mind reading, and much, much more including showmanship and performance skills.   At the end of the week campers can call themselves true magicians and show off their tricks in a one of a kind magical performance.

Before and After Care

Camp hours are 9am-4pm.  Before/Aftercare is available from 8-9am and 4-6pm for an additional $10 per day.  5-day camps (such as Spring Break Camp) also have a weekly rate option of $45/wk.  5-day camps will not have Aftercare on Fridays due to end-of-camp performances.  Before and/or Aftercare can both be used for the same price per day.  Before/Aftercare payments are not discounted or prorated and are non-refundable.  You can prepay at the time of enrollment, or pay per daily use.  If paying per day, charges are due upon drop off for Beforecare and upon pickup for Aftercare.  Campers arriving before 8:45am and staying past 4:15pm will be charged for Before/Aftercare.

Daily Camp Activities
Each day campers will experience the magic of theatre, brush up their performance skills, and learn theatre basics in a fun environment of creativity and imagination.  Seasonal camps always include lots of theatre-based games and activities--we focus on fun while developing campers' dramatic skills such as stage directions, vocal projection, and improvisation. Camp hours are 9:00am to 4:00pm; Before & Aftercare is available 8am-9am & 4pm-6pm.  Campers will need a sack lunch, two snacks, and a drink each day.  There will not be a Camp Store during Fall Break or Winter Break camp.  Camp Store will be available during Spring Break camp for campers to purchase snacks and drinks.

Camp Performances

Spring Break Camp will include an end-of-camp performance.  Performances will take place in the Burg Theatre in the Kirkpatrick Fine Arts Center on the Oklahoma City University campus, just across the street from the Children’s Theatre building.  Performances are free of charge and all friends and family are invited to watch.  Since the performances are devised by the campers and teachers, camcorders and cameras are encouraged.
