1-Week Camps
Theatre
Theatre I 5-7 years
Theatre II 8-12 years
Climb aboard the time machine!Join us for magical, mysterious time travel adventures.Campers will experience the magic of theatre, brush up their performance skills, and learn theatre basics through hands-on games and activities, all in a fun environment of creativity and imagination.One-week campers will create characters, develop a story, and invent a script inspired by the time travel destination of the week!Lots of laughs and creativity are the ticket for campers to prepare for an exciting Friday performance for family and friends.
Dance
Dance I 5-7 years
Dance II 8-12 years
Dance campers will twist through time as they walk like Egyptians and do-si-do through the Wild West.These campers will discover the magic of rhythm as they move and groove through the 60’s to discover the robot dance of the future!Dancers will play fun movement games, learn combos, and create original dance performances.Each week will bring different music and challenges, and all dancers will get to take their show on the road by giving a Friday performance each week.
Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre I 5-7 years
Musical Theatre II 8-12 years
In Musical Theatre camp, students will travel through time to decades of music and dance.Campers will learn and rehearse numbers from several fun and exciting musical productions.During “Folklore and Fairytales” week campers will step into famous Disney musicals, during 40’s campers will learn numbers from Annie, in the 80’s campers will get silly with songs and dances from Seussical the Musical.At the Friday performances, entertainers will delight the audience with a showcase of their numbers.
Magic
Magic I 5–7 years
Magic II 8–12 years
Wow and dazzle all of your friends by learning tricks from the professionals!Practice sneaky slight of hand, captivating card tricks, mystical mind reading, and much, much more including showmanship and performance skills.Magic II students will continue to sharpen their powers of illusion and begin working on more difficult skills.At the end of each week campers can call themselves true magicians and show off their tricks in a one of a kind magical performance.
Balloon Art
Balloon Art II 8 & Up
Using just balloons and imagination, Balloon Art campers will spend the week learning to sculpt like the pros.Students will learn to make amazing creatures, hats, props, and even clothing—all from balloons!On Friday, campers will give a live demonstration of their new talents.
Circus Arts
Circus Arts II 8-12 years
Clowning, mime, balloon art, and juggling put these camps on the road to hilarity and amazement!On this flight of fancy campers will learn tricks and techniques from the pros, and develop a spectacular show for the Friday performance.Through creative movement and body balancing, campers will discover the Disco Circus and have a magical experience creating characters and circus mischief.
Filmmaking
Filmmaking II 8-12 years
No one does time travel quite like the movies!In this unique camp, students will work with film professionals from the OCU Moving Image Arts program to develop story and characters, and create their own cinematic wonder.On the last day of camp, film students get to host an advanced screening of their newly created films for family and friends.
Music Production and Video Game Design
Music Production II 8 & Up
Video Game Design 8 & Up
In these unique camps, students will work with design professionals and use the latest computer software to create their own international super hits or the next smash-hit video game!At the end of each week students will have gotten a feel for design software and created programs that they can take home.At the Friday performance, these campers can invite family and friends for a sneak preview of their creations.
Pre-School Time Travelers—Half Day Pre-School Creative Drama
3 & 4 years old
Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 12:00pm
Our youngest entertainers will love traveling through time to destinations of wonder!With a little sprinkling of fairy dust and a few magic words, pre-school campers will be transported to far away lands to stomp with the dinosaurs, hop into fairytale picture books, ride the range in the Wild West, and much more!Kids will sing and dance, pretend and create, wiggle and giggle while working together to invent a Friday mini-performance for family and friends.
All participants must be potty trained in order to attend camp.
