Young Company

Student Productions

Come on stage with our student production program! Each year we present multiple opportunities for student actors to participate in fully-realized theatre productions and intensive masterclasses. These allow our students to get practical performing experience.

Our Young Company will experience:
  • the full scope of a production from start to finish
  • a staff of professional teaching artists, eager to share their knowledge
  • welcoming environments, which promote friendship, self-esteem, and self growth
  • a focus on advancing confidence and skills as a performer

A Charlie Brown Christmas

Get into the holiday spirit with our Young Company as they bring to life the classic Peanuts story that reminds us all of the true meaning of Christmas!

Christmas time is here, but Charlie Brown is feeling a little down. With the help of Linus, Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang, he sets out to discover what Christmas is really about. Through friendship and a humble little Christmas tree, Charlie Brown learns that the holiday is about love and kindness—not just presents and decorations. This heartwarming, hilarious story is perfect for the whole family to enjoy!

Enrollment & Audition Details:
To participate in this production, students must enroll using the Enroll Now Button AND complete the YC Actors Audition linked below. Please note, the audition will not affect a student’s enrollment status. It is simply an important part of the process, allowing the directors to see and hear each actor before the first rehearsal. Casting will occur after the first scheduled rehearsal, as this day will be used for group readings.

For the audition, student actors will need to complete their YC Actor Audition Form found HERE

The Audition form will require the following:

    • For student actors and their families to carefully review the production schedule (also listed below) and note any conflicts. Students MUST be available for all shows to enroll.
    • List the following measurements. Height, Shirt Size, and Pant Size – This needs to be numerical sizes if possible.
    • Student actors will need to memorize and perform a selected monologue and upload that on the audition form. Everyone will have the same monologue, this is just to see how the student actor can handle memorization, character, and volume.
    • Upload a headshot – a photo that primarily focuses on the actor’s face. School photos and selfies are acceptable. If a student actor has a resume, they are welcome to upload it, but it is not required.
